The district began investigating after Robert Champion, former member of the band in one school district, died last month in what is believed to be hazing in Florida A
Walter Woods, a spokesman for DeKalb County school district, said Wednesday officials were looking at each high school after two incidents during the band's activities during the summer. He refused to say whether the incident involved hazing.
"Our Interest is in protecting students, student safety," said Woods. "We have told the school to take care of existing policy, which is zero tolerance for harassment of any kind."
He said students who get involved in the incident of the summer don't hurt enough to be treated in the hospital.
